Are you new to Social Media? Having trouble engaging your audience? Here are some tips to use for your social media platforms, these can be for everyone but these are tips we recommend as property managers with a rapid growing following.
Be intentional- Consider what you want to achieve on social media and make a plan for how you will achieve it. Determine your target audience and create content that will resonate with them. For example we recently posted 'tips for working from home' since nowadays working from home has become more common.
Be consistent- Consistency is key when it comes to social media. Try to post regularly and at times when your audience is most active. However you do not want to post at the same exact time everyday as the algorithm will catch on to your schedule and not boost your posts as much.
Engage with your audience- Respond to comments and messages and engage with your followers. This can help you build a relationship with your audience and increase engagement on your posts. Ask questions on your posts to initiate conversation with your audience.
Use visual content- Visual content such as images, videos, and infographics tend to perform better on social media than text alone. Consider using visually appealing content to capture your audience's attention. Short videos have been the best performing posts throughout our platforms, Instagram/Facebook Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts have gotten really great engagement!
Use hashtags- Hashtags can help you reach a wider audience on social media. Research relevant hashtags for your content and include them in your posts. Tagging your posts will also help those searching for that specific content.
Monitor your metrics- Keep track of your social media metrics such as reach, engagement, and follower growth. This can help you understand what's working and what's not, and adjust your strategy accordingly. The Meta Business Suite has great analytics to refer to.
Be authentic- Authenticity is important on social media. Be true to your brand and personality, and avoid trying to be something you're not. This can help you build trust with your audience and increase engagement on your posts.
